Pumpkin Coffee

The season of pumpkin is upon us and that means, Pumpkin Everything!!! It also means, for those who love pumpkin, spending, spending, spending. So, to cut some costs on at least one pumpkin item, try this simple recipe for a morning cup of sweet tasting pumpkin coffee, great for a start to the day and for holiday gatherings.
 
Ingredients:

  • 10 tablespoons regular or decaf coffee, plain
  • 10 cups water
  • 4 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 3-4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 
Directions:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients (coffee, pie spice, brown sugar, and nutmeg) in a small bowl using fingers. 
  2. Pour into a coffee filter inside the coffee pot.
  3. Fill coffee pot with 10 cups water and brew. 
Add milk, cream, sweetener, or more sugar once brewed. If serving at a gathering, serve topped with whipped cream and a mix of cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled on top, along side a delicious dessert. Happy Fall!!!!
